SUITE ROW PHASE TWO

Jewelry and home goods design company, and friend of Philly Home Girls, Kendra Scott , popped up shop at our Grande Parisian Carnival this past year. 20% of the proceeds from the night went to support our friends at H.A Brown Elementary School in East Kensington.

FEILD DAY!

The Philly Home Girls and United Makers were proud to sponsor field day for the students at H.A. Brown.  They had loads of fun and we got a very fashionable t-shirt out of the deal. Go kids!

Every year, Philadelphia public schools run out of paper. The majority of students finish every school year without paper in their classrooms.

The Philly Paper Jam (PPJ) was created in response to this crisis. PPJ’s mission is to ensure 30 public elementary schools receive the paper they need for the 2016-17 school year.

The Philly Home Girls and Blue Truck Enterprises believe that school success is necessary for the long-term health and vitality of our neighborhoods.

In coalition with the Philly Paper Jam, the Philly Home Girls and Blue Truck funded East Kensington’s Henry A. Brown Elementary School 100% for the 2016-17 school year. All of H.A. Brown’s 125 classrooms had their paper needs met in full through our funding, so that teachers can teach and students can learn without fear of resource shortage.

PRESS:

"For example, branches of Coldwell Banker and Philly Home Girls, as well as other local businesses, have helped sponsor everything from renovating the auditorium at Adaire to funding local schools’ paper needs through an initiative called Philly Paper Jam."

CELEBRATING THE PAPER DELIVERY!

H.A. Brown Academics invited the Philly Home Girls, Blue Truck Enterprises and United Makers on Thursday, November 17, 2016 to celebrate the arrival of their paper supply. Principal Carnivale and Friends of H.A Brown provided us with a welcoming breakfast and presented handmade cards from their talented students! Afterwards, the kindergarten classes invited us to join them for their morning projects. Our visit confirmed that there's no better way to start the day than to hang out with a group of bright, kind, and creative youngsters and the leaders committed to their growth. We are thrilled and grateful to support this incredible school, community, and the Philly Paper Jam mission.
